Larger moves will be done by three or four men crews with a 24ft truck depending on the size of the move. We pad and shrink wrap furniture and use plastic covers to protect most mattresses and box springs from dirt. At Floors and Chores we stand behind our work. Please will our customers note that for house moves we require at least one week advanced notice. Small moves may be accommodated and carried out within 48hours should they be local. More advanced notice is required for moves out of town. This allows us to offer a cost effective service. ASAP moves maybe required to pay extra depending on circumstances. On larger moves we may bring extra trucks with the requested number of men. One might ask us to bring two trucks with five men and Floors and Chores will oblige.
All moving reservations will require a deposit payment. Deposits are fully refundable if reservations canceled 14days prior to moving date, no exceptions. Frivolous cancellations will result in deposits being forfeited.

a) First the customer requests an estimate and we send a written or verbal estimate depending on how the request came. Customers are free to ask our residential movers for a written estimate all time. This ensures no bait and switch tactics.b) Customers are advised to familiarize themselves with the residential moving pamphlet which is prescribed by the Georgia Public Service Commission. It lays out the moving rights for both clients and residential movers.
c) For insurance purposes the customers are also required to look at the insurance addendum. It spells out the liability limits should your furniture be damaged. 3 options are available for coverage. Customers may call or email for a copy of the document. Our residential movers abide by the rules and regulations as laid out by gpsc.
The aforementioned documents do not apply to moving helpers or moving loaders for loading and unloading. Loading and unloading helpers have terms available here.
d) A bill of lading is issued by any licensed residential movers or apartment movers. It lists the particulars related with the move in case of loss or damage. We carry cargo insurance for your peace of mind.
e) Finally an invoice is issued on completion of the move. Payment is expected promptly after the move. Most residential movers ask for deposits, just like we do. This prevents frivolous cancellations.
Moving into storage
Often customers move from a residence into storage and then move out to another residence at a later stage. If you hire our residential movers for the in and out storage move, we will give you a 15% discount when moving out.
